Ten occasions, one card, one door
An evening arranged through this house is written as one of ten occasions. The occasion settles how long she stays, which deposit holds the booking and how much is arranged beforehand, and it settles nothing else at all. The figures do not shift between them. Four hours across a table on Greek Street and four hours in a suite above Regent Street read the same on the card, from £250 for a single hour up to £1,800 for ten. Fees are for time and companionship only, whichever of the ten you choose.
Most first messages ask for a room visit or an evening with a dinner companion, and in Soho both tend to begin within a few streets of each other, a boutique room off Richmond Mews, a held table near Cambridge Circus, a flat above a shopfront in W1F. The longer arrangements, an overnight, a trip with a travel companion or several nights, are written further ahead and held with the larger deposit.
Ten occasions on the list
Each occasion shares the same rate card; what changes is the pace, the venue and who suits it.
Room visits
This is the plainest line the house writes and the one written most often. You give the hotel, the hour and how long you would like her to stay. The host gives you a name and a figure. She walks...
Open the occasionDinner dates
A dinner booking is four hours and £900, and in this postcode those four hours have a particular shape. Soho eats early for the theatres and then eats again at half past ten when the casts and the...
Open the occasionOvernights
An overnight is ten hours and £1,800. It usually begins somewhere between ten and midnight, which in Soho is not late at all, and runs through to the morning. It is the one booking the house asks...
Open the occasionGirlfriend experience
The phrase gets used loosely across this industry, so here is what it means at this door and nothing more. It is an evening with the formality taken out of it. She arrives as somebody pleased to...
Open the occasionTravel companion
Two different bookings share this page. The first is an airport run, a companion with you for the journey out to Heathrow or Gatwick or for the hours after you land, which carries a three hour...
Open the occasionBusiness events
Soho works for a living, and its working evenings have a particular texture. Production companies on Wardour Street, agencies off Golden Square, post houses and record labels and the restaurants...
Open the occasionDuo bookings
A duo is two names on the same booking, arriving together at the same address at the same hour. It is asked for most often for a long night out, where a pair carries an evening more easily than...
Open the occasionCouples
Couples book this house for an evening together with a third person in it, most often a dinner and a bar afterwards, sometimes a show, occasionally a quiet evening at their own address. It is a...
Open the occasionNights out
This is the occasion Soho was built for. Three hours at £700 is the usual shape, four at £900 if dinner is inside it, and the whole night if you would rather not decide in advance. She meets you...
Open the occasionExtended bookings
Some guests are in London for a week rather than an evening, and would rather write one arrangement than send eight separate messages. An extended booking is exactly that. Several nights, or a run...
Open the occasionHow to read an occasion page
Each page below states the usual length, the deposit that holds it, what the host arranges in advance and a short list of names whose diaries and temperament genuinely suit that kind of evening. Those names are a suggestion and never a fence. Anyone on the guest list can be asked for any occasion, and the reply tells you plainly whether her week allows it. When an evening sits between two occasions, a dinner that turns into a night out somewhere around eleven, write it as the longer of the two and the host explains how the hours are counted before you send a penny.
Which deposit holds which occasion
Room visits, dinners, nights out, evenings for couples and bookings for two companions are standard bookings, held with 25 percent by bank transfer. Overnights, industry dinners, travel and extended arrangements are held with half the fee in advance, and the travel part of that half cannot be refunded once it is spent. The balance is cash on arrival or an earlier transfer, whichever suits you, and the transfer carries a neutral descriptor.
Where the ten occasions happen
Every occasion on this list can begin at any address across the eleven zones this house covers, from Charing Cross up to Fitzrovia, and each figure already carries travel inside Zones 1 and 2. Further out than that, the taxi both ways is quoted in the first reply rather than added afterwards. A host reads messages at every hour and answers inside 10 to 15 minutes, and the booking page sets out the sequence from first line to confirmed evening.
Choose the occasion, we set the table
Name the occasion and the hour, and the host suggests who suits it best.
