Molly, when ten o'clock is early

Ten o'clock is Molly's morning. She lives in Soho, and while the rest of London is thinking about bed she is fastening an earring, checking her red lip and stepping out into streets that are only now finding their rhythm. Curvy, 164 cm, dark brown waves worn loose and long, brown eyes full of mischief, she wears bold glamour with a flirtatious edge: a sequinned top, tailored trousers, a leather jacket slung over her shoulders. Mid twenties and entirely unafraid of a late finish.

Warmth comes first with Molly, then play, then a confidence that makes the whole evening feel easy. She laughs out loud, teases generously and has the rare gift of making strangers at the next table want to join in. Her English is quick and friendly. House music is her soundtrack, the older and deeper the better; craft cocktails are her hobby, and she knows a good many W1 bartenders by first name; vintage cars are her unlikely passion, a subject she discusses with real knowledge after midnight.

Her late Soho favourite is Cahoots, tucked into Kingly Court and dressed up as a wartime Underground station, with swing records, old signage and cocktails served in period style. She loves the theatre of it, and the fact that it stays lively long after the shops around Carnaby have closed. After a drink or two there she is happy to find a basement with a proper sound system for half an hour, or to walk straight back to your hotel through streets she knows by heart.
